THE COLSON FELLOWSHIP AT
MAITLAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
At Maitland Christian School, we are committed to supporting our staff in both their professional and personal growth. The Colsons Fellowship Program, is run annually, and is a key part of this commitment, offering a meaningful opportunity to deepen understanding of the Christian faith and its relevance in today’s world.
About the Program
The Colsons Fellowship is designed to equip participants with a strong foundation in the core beliefs of Christianity while exploring how these beliefs intersect with contemporary culture and the challenges of modern life.
Through guided learning and discussion, fellows are encouraged to:
- Grow in their understanding of the Christian faith
- Reflect on how historical and cultural developments have shaped the present moment
- Engage thoughtfully with complex issues facing society today
- Develop confidence to live out their faith with clarity, purpose, and hope
Impact and Participation
Over the past three years, more than 26 staff members have completed the program, with additional participants currently working toward their completion in this year’s cohort.
The program continues to bear fruit beyond the school community, with some fellows stepping into new opportunities and callings aligned with where they feel God is leading them.
It is a substantial 10-month commitment, but those who have completed the program consistently speak to its lasting value. A list of staff who have completed the Colsons Fellowship program is available below, and many would be more than willing to share their experience with you.
Why Participate?
Many participants describe the Colsons Fellowship as a transformative experience. Rather than simply providing answers, the program helps individuals:

- Respond to the big questions of others with wisdom, grace, and confidence
If you enjoyed the Truth Rising videos earlier in the year, these offer a wonderful introduction to the foundations and clarity explored more deeply throughout the program.
Join the 2026/2027 Cohort
We would love to welcome a new group of staff and parents to undertake the course this year.
- There is no cost to participate for suitable applicants – the school covers all program fees
- Course materials, including books, are available through the school library

To assist with planning for a Term 3 start, we encourage you to register within the next couple of weeks so we can prepare for the upcoming cohort.
A Shared Journey of Growth
The Colsons Fellowship is more than a course – it is a shared journey. It brings staff and parents together in a supportive environment where ideas can be explored, perspectives can be shaped, and faith can be strengthened.
At Maitland Christian School, we are proud to offer this program as part of our mission to nurture not only excellence in education, but also a deep and enduring faith in action.
Over the last 3 years, we have had over 26 staff members complete the program and grow in their understanding of the Christian faith and in their confidence to live it out in current times (we have a couple more in this year’s cohort working towards the August completion date and two of our fellows have moved to new places God had called them to).
It is a wonderful opportunity to grow in the core beliefs of Christianity, deepen your understanding of how we arrived at this cultural moment, and approach the challenges of our time with clarity, confidence, and hope.
Many will say that undertaking the course helps you ask more and better questions, as well as feel more equipped to answer some of the big questions others have with grace.
