Our library offers a fresh, vibrant and inviting space, designed for exploration, investigation, imagination, and connection. Here, children can lose themselves in books that transport them to other worlds, discover new interests, and delight in the joy of reading in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Our library is more than a place for books. It is a lively hub where stories, learning, and community come together in practical ways. Throughout the year, students are encouraged to grow as readers through Book Week competitions and promotions, the Premier’s Reading Challenge, National Simultaneous Storytime, and Book Fairs that bring new titles directly into the school. Families can also access a wide range of affordable and engaging books through the Scholastic Book Club, making it easier to build a reading culture at home.
Beyond reading, the library is a welcoming space for students to belong. Lunchtimes offer hands-on activities like Lego, games, cards and puzzles, while Prep Storytimes help our youngest learners build early literacy and a love of stories. We also support recreational reading by helping students find books they genuinely enjoy, and provide a calm, safe place for members of our community to relax and recharge. Connections with Valley Village Early Learning Centre and collaboration with the Christian School Library Hub further extend access to quality resources and strengthen early learning partnerships.
