To celebrate International Nurses Day, our secondary students took the opportunity to show their appreciation for the incredible nurses who faithfully serve our community each day.
As a school, we celebrated our own school nurses by presenting them with cards as a small token of gratitude for the care, compassion, and support they provide to our students and staff throughout the year.
Secondary students also participated in writing heartfelt thank you cards for the nurses at Maitland Hospital. A group of students then visited the hospital to personally deliver the cards, where they were added to the hospital’s International Nurses Day appreciation wall.
Alongside the cards, we were also able to deliver a care package filled with delicious goodies for the nursing staff to enjoy.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank all of the nurses within our school community who are also parents. We deeply appreciate the time, commitment, sacrifice, and care you show both in your profession and within your families. Your service to others is a blessing to our wider community.
We are so thankful for the dedication, kindness, and sacrifice shown by nurses, and we were grateful for the opportunity to encourage and bless them in a practical way.
