Opal Cards
The School Opal card is only for travel to and from school on school days and does not cover travel to after-school care, school excursions, sport and other activities away from school. Transport for NSW recommends purchasing a Child/Youth Opal card for personal travel.
You will need to submit a new application if you are applying for a school travel pass for the first time or requesting an additional pass as a result of a new shared parental responsibility situation (e.g. joint custody). You will need to re-apply or update your details if your child has changed schools, changed address, repeated a year, or received an expiry notification.
Applications must be made by a parent or guardian if your child is aged under 15 years. Children 16 years of age and over must complete the application form themselves.
Depending on the modes of transport that your child utilises each day, students can apply for an Opal Card that incorporates both bus and train travel.

School Drive Subsidy (PVC)
The School Drive Subsidy is available in areas where there is limited or no public transport. The subsidy is intended to partly offset the cost of using a private vehicle to drive the eligible student all or part of the way to school. You only need to apply if you’re applying for the School Drive Subsidy for the first time.

Who is responsible for my child/rens safety to and from school?
How does the school manage traffic safety?
Our school works to promote a safe traffic environment through:
- Clearly marked drop‑off and pick‑up zones
- Staff supervision at peak times (where possible)
- Communication with families about safe driving practices, and council signage
Parents and carers play a vital role by driving cautiously and respectfully on and around our school grounds.
What if I am delayed collecting my child?
If you are running late, please contact the school as soon as possible. The school will ensure your child remains supervised until collection. Repeated late pick‑ups may require follow‑up communication.
What happens if my child is late or arrives early?

Where should I drop off and pick up my child?
We offer our parent/carer community the option to use Kiss & Drop in the mornings and Carpark Collect in the afternoons.
Kiss & Drop operates in the morning and is available from 7.50am – 8.30am via the school carpark.
Carpark Collect is the afternoon service that is available after the school buses have left the school carpark from 3.05pm – 3.15pm.
Parents who wish to park their car, are able to utilise the council carpark, and park legally and safely within the council parking bays.
For the safety of students, teachers, parents and carers, we ask that you:
- Follow signage and traffic directions
- Avoid stopping in no-parking or reserved parking and bus zones
- Remain patient during peak drop-off and pick-up times
Please note that there is no parent parking available within the school carpark during the school day, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school grounds safe and accessible.
How can my child travel to school?
Students may travel to school by:
- Walking (where age appropriate and safe)
- Being driven by a parent or carer through the Kiss and Drop from 7:50am – 8:30am via the school carpark
- Using an approved bus or transport service (if applicable)
Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring that their child arrives at and departs from school safely.
